The festival is one of the best fire festivals in Japan and a highlight of the winter season in Nozawa. You can feel the local MATSURI (festival) spirit while you enjoy your meal and drinks.
The 2F restaurant area has grill and the Tempura bar. At the bar, the locally made SAKE ‘Mizuo’ is an excellent choice with your favourite meal. - Traditional Japanese Restaurant and bar inspired by the famous local fire festival - Teppanyaki Counter ![]() ![]()

The Jonnobi is owned and operated by the Sakaya Ryokan, located close-by; Sakaya is Nozawa Onsen’s premier ryokan property and run by one of Nozawa longest running families. Soon as word spreads Jonobi will no doubt take its place alongside the Sakaya, providing another stunning and sophisticated Japanese Ryokan lodging opportunity.
The word Jonnobi means "relaxed and comfortable" in local dialect. We hope you will come and enjoy your JON NOBI time in the premier ski and onsen village of Japan.
