The sun is out early on this morning. It's mild as well with the thermometer outside already nearly at 10 degrees, likely to rise to around 16 later on in the day. Only a slight breeze, nothing to interupt the lifts. It should be fine all day, with cloud and rain on the forecast for tomorrow.
At the moment it is looking like the weather should be good for the weekend. Read more ...

Sunny skies over Myoko today, with slight winds from the west (for paragliders, next week the souwesterlies should start ). What's open and not open?: Akakura Kanko is open all the way through Golden Week, Akakura Onsen's Kumado lift area is open hrough Golden Week, and Seki Onsen will be open until the 18th of May.
The pick of the day is Akakura Kanko for both views and length of the runs that are still open. If you're a park kicker, then Akakura Onsen's Kumado Lift area is the place.
Your Myoko area levels for today: 215cm (Akakura Kanko Resort); 200cm (Akakura Onsen); 445cm (Seki Onsen)
Spring is back this morning with bright blue skies from very early on. It's also much warmer than it was yesterday. It may well cloud over later on tonight though with a chance even of more snow overnight, so fingers crossed for that.
The slopes that remain are open are totally uncrowded at the moment mid-week, you can have them almost to yourself! Read more ...

Sun, blue skies
As forecast, it is a fine and sunny morning and has been since first light. It's a beautiful clear morning with hardly a cloud to be seen. The slopes are almost empty out there, what a day to be up at the top of the mountain!
Things might cloud over later on in the day and a chance of rain tomorrow.
The cover of cloud that we had for most of the day yesterday has moved on and this morning we are being treated to more of those blue skies and sun. It will probably rise to around 14 degrees later on today in the village.
The last few days more patches have been appearing on the mountain especially the lower slopes - still pretty decent general cover though and up at Kagura they are still boasting 3m of snow. As you might expect, the higher up you go the better conditions.
Sunny and warm in the Hakuba Valley today with light wind from the South East. Great spring conditions on all runs (one that are still open) and very few skiers on any of the resorts. Slap on some sunscreen, wax up your plank(s) and charge on the gelendes! The next few days are not looking as nice so make the most of it today!
Take care if heading off piste or in the trees as there are open glide cracks in the snow, hollow sections that can collapse and wet snow avalanches on steep lines on any aspects. Those heading backcountry should be aware of also rockfall coming down from melting snow, rocks and trees on the snow surface and water flowing under the snow that can make crossing creeks and gullies potentially treacherous.
