Good morning from Yuzawa.
And so we are down to just three ski resorts remaining open - Kandatsu Kogen, GALA Yuzawa and Kagura.
Yesterday in the afternoon there were some spots of rain in places. This morning it is cloudy with some foggy-looking conditions in higher elevations. We can expect clearer conditions as the morning moves on though with a high of around +10C around midday.
Interestingly, we might get some snow overnight tonight and into early tomorrow.

Nozawa Onsen Now!
Monday 8th April 2019, 6:56am
Hello from Nozawa.
As we enter the last four weeks of the ski season here in Nozawa, the resort has just the Nagasaka Gondola and two top Yamabiko quad lifts operating from today on weekdays. (We'll see if they might open up more for the weekend nearer the time).
It is cloudy early on with fog and limited visibility on the top areas but we are forecast some sunshine during the day - and... some snow tonight! It's going to be interesting to see what happens there...
With lower slopes now closing we will be seeing some quick melting away of snow from lower base areas of the resort. That is always kind of sad to see, but we can be happy in the knowledge that there's still close to 3m of snow being reported by the resort on the top areas of the mountain. That lot should see us through until 6th May.
Yamabiko A course closed through Friday.

Cloudy, blue skies
Good morning from Niseko.
We now have four weeks to go in the season. From today, the Niseko Grand Hirafu and Niseko Annupuri resort areas will be open - the Niseko Village and Niseko HANAZONO resort areas have now closed for the season.
This morning there is some cloud over our mountain but there are clearer blue skies out towards Mt Yotei. It looks like it is going to be a fine day, perhaps cloudy overnight and then some more sun tomorrow. Temperatures are due to rise to around 6C.
And that's about it for this morning. Have a good one!

Hello from Zao.
There's four weeks left of the season now. Ground is quickly starting to show through in places on the lower slopes but cover up on higher areas is still good.
There are now just a few lifts operating on weekdays (with a few more on weekends) and the details are shown below. Looking at the latest info on the official source, today the Chuo, Utopia and Kurohime lifts are operating as well as the Ropeways. Katakai and Paradise are resting on weekdays.
We might actually get to see some snowfall overnight tonight though I wouldn't be expecting much.
These are the planned lift closing dates as stated by the resort. There may be slight variations and they are also of course subject to change depending on snow conditions. Please check with the resort before going.
Operating until 14th April: - Katakai triple: operating on 13th and 14th April - Paradise pair AB: operating on 13th and 14th April
Operating until 6th May: - Chuo Number 1 pair - Chuo Number 2 pair: operating on 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, 29th April, 3rd-6th May
Operating as long as snow allows: - Yokokura Number 1 pair AB - Kurohime quad - Utopia Number 2 pair
Operating through the year (for sightseeing): - Sky Cable - Chuo Ropeway - Zao Ropeway
* Other ski lifts already closed * All dates subject to change depending on snow conditions
