The roads are dry this morning and it looks like the rain held off overnight - certainly no heavy rain. Just before it looked like it was trying to rain with just a few spots on the windscreen of the car. The forecast for the day is rain up until about now and then cloud for the rest of the day - so cloud it probably is then!
It's around 9 degrees at the moment here in Yuzawa town but it probably won't be as warm as it was yesterday with a high of around 12 forecast for the day.
Currently it is looking like tomorrow will be another one of those fine and sunny days in the region. Read more ...

No rain this morning, just a cover of cloud all around and a rather grey look to the place. It is quite bright though and a decent chance of things clearing up I reckon.
Last night there was some slight snowfall at the top of Kagura apparently, though not much in terms of fresh new cm of snow.... good to see it still trying though.
The forecast for tomorrow is a warm day with sun from early on. Read more ...

Another overcast morning in Niseko, sunny perionds are expected later this afternoon and the cloud should clear later tonight. With a top temparatue today of +7 and a low of +6 overnight definately tells us that sping is well and truely here. Visibility on the mountain should be good with very light NW winds. Temparatures are forcast to stay above 0 for the next few days with no rain expected untill Sunday.
A nice surprise this morning - after the rain of last night... snow! And it's not only for show as well - about 10cm or so has fallen up at Yokoteyama and is still lightly falling now.
Other parts of Shiga Kogen have seen some snowfall as well, while down in Maruike it's more like sleet and no fresh snow on the ground there this morning.
As you might expect it is a bit colder this morning with the temperature back down under zero in most areas.
This probably won't last much beyond this morning though, with fine weather forecast for Wednesday. Read more ...

Hakuba is currently getting a light drizzle of rain this morning. Overcast skies across the whole valley today with a clearing trend expected overnight and sunshine in the forecast for tomorrow. Conditions on all the resorts will be spring corn snow, soft and wet!
Take care if heading off piste or in the trees as there are open glide cracks in the snow, hollow sections that can collapse and wet snow avalanches on steep lines on any aspects. Those heading backcountry should be aware of also rockfall coming down from melting snow, rocks and trees on the snow surface and water flowing under the snow that can make crossing creeks and gullies potentially treacherous.
It is a cloudy morning in Nozawa. Rain was forecast but we haven't really seen any just some very slight rainfall earlier on. It is also noticeably colder this morning after the warmth of yesterday.
The sun and warmer temperatures will probably be back with us tomorrow.
