Sunny and clear
Just a quick report on this lovely sunny Wednesday morning. The Golden Week holidays now behind us and a normal weekday.
From today it is just Kagura that remains open with the Mitsumata Ropeway operating. (Tashiro Ropeway and the Tashiro area now closed). As far as I know pretty much all of the Kagura <> Mitsumata area is open, apart from the downhill course of course - you need to get the Mitsumata Ropeway back down to the car park.
Kagura plans to be open until 25th May. For now, still great snow cover on the runs up there.
Until 25th May: Kagura (the main Kagura area via Mitsumata)
All other resorts in the region are closed for the season.
Official resort snow depths @ Wednesday 7th May 2014, AM: Kagura (Mitsumata): 250cm Read more ...

That's it folks... all of the ski lifts in Myoko at a standstill and we're all done for another season.
In case you missed it, we did post a bit of a season review back at the end of March - seems a long while ago now! - and you can find that here:
On to the rest of spring and summer; or as they say the "Green Season".
The Myoko Now reports on SnowJapan will be back to say hello again in the autumn when things start to get chilly and snowfall is on the horizon.
Remember if you are planning on visiting Myoko, the weather forecasts on the resort pages of SnowJapan continue right through the year, so you can check up on the weather there. Links to the resort pages can be found in the right column of this page (that bit called 'Nearby snow resorts').
And of course Myoko Now reports from this past season and seasons before that are online to check too.
In the meantime I hope you have a fine summer and see you later in the year. Read more ...
