Lots of cloud but due to be fine
[Apologies for the late appearance of the report today]
Good morning from Niseko on this last day of the season at Niseko Village and Niseko HANAZONO... even with over 2m of snow out there still.
Cloudy (but bright as I write the report) this morning, but it is probably going to clear up nicely and we will see a mix of blue sky and sunshine for most of the day today. And more of that tomorrow too with temperatures rising to around 5C or perhaps a little more.
In fact there is quite a lot of sunshine linked up on the forecast for the coming week now and the weather should remain generally calm.
Nice spring weather.

Good morning from Yuzawa.
Fine weather through the day yesterday; this morning we are starting the day with cloudy skies. A high of around 14C is forecast for early afternoon.
Today is the last day of the ski season for a handful of ski resorts in the area. From tomorrow, we will be left with just Kandatsu Kogen, GALA Yuzawa and Kagura remaining open.
Sun is expected from early tomorrow... but is that the chance of a bit more snowfall tomorrow night?!

Cloudy this morning - some rather dark and moody clouds in places - and there is a chance of a few spots of rain during the day.
Today is the last day of the season for Kashimayari and they will even open up their Number 1 lift to celebrate the end of the season.
Today is also the last day for the lower Toomi area of Hakuba Goryu.
From tomorrow, we will be left with just the Hakuba Happo-one, Hakuba 47, Hakuba Goryu and Tsugaike Kogen resorts remaining open; all of those plan to be open until Monday 6th May.
The snow has pretty much disappeared from village level and most of the lower slope areas once again. Keep an eye on that third webcam image to see how the snow line is gradually getting higher. There's still 2.5 - 3m of snow being reported as snow depths by the resorts though so hopefully that will last through until the planned closing dates in early May.
