Lightning and thunder heralded the approach of another cold front last night. In it's wake the temperature plummeted and snow started to fall right to village level! It continued throughout the night and a few cm's have accumulated down to low levels. Up top it's hard to know how much has accumulated but I'd say something in excess of 15cm. Snow has even settled a little right down to Kutchan. Although it's supposed to get a little milder over the weekend more cold air is expected throughout much of next week with further snowfalls to lower levels redeveloping. Only a few weeks now before the lifts open and it looks like we shouldn't have any problems with there being enough snow! Read more ...

Drove up the mountain this morning with my 6-year old to check out conditions. According to him, "Nope. Still not enough for a snow ball fight, Dad." I told him, "Soon, very soon."
Check out some photos I took today to see some of the white stuff. Read more ...
