A month has passed since my last report, and it has been getting rather chilly here in Niseko at times recently.
The first dusting of snow has even been spotted on the top of Mt Yotei, and people are starting to talk of freezing levels (down to well below 2000 on Wednesday night) and other wintery stuff. This first sighting of snow is quite early as well, being a few weeks sooner than what I recall happening last year.
It might be an idea to not get overly exited just quite yet though - there's still two months to go before the ski lifts start moving.
It's always brilliant to see some new snow though, however slight, and now we can settle in and enjoy autumn.
It should be a fine day today with sun and temperatures rising up into double digits, perhaps warming up to close to 20 degrees tomorrow. Read more ...
