Naeba Now!

Tuesday 27th March 2018, 8:05am
Weather conditions: Bluebird
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: --
Good morning from Naeba! It's another sunny start today, with a comfortable air temperature of 4°C. Highs of 15°C at the base are predicted today, and with little wind it's going to feel very warm. As we are getting into the later season now, may of the regular chairlifts in Naeba are closed, but most of the ski area is still accessible via the gondolas.

Looking forwards, there is very little report but wall to wall sunshine this week! Highs of up to 17°C are predicted tomorrow and the day after. On Thursday night we can expect some slightly unsettled weather to move though, bringing some guts of wind and possibly some rain. After this, it will be back to sunshine!   Read more ...

This report was submitted at the usual morning time. Apologies for the delay in the report appearing.

Good morning from Niseko.

It is another beauty of a morning and it going to be warming up today into double digits. The sunny skies look set to continue for at least a few more days.

Lots of spring fun, but be aware of avalanche dangers in backcountry.

Top lifts might well be affected by wind today, so check with the individual resorts if that is something you need to know.

Good morning from Hakuba.

Another beautiful day on the cards here. Oh yes, tomorrow (and beyond) too! There's not much to say really.

Though perhaps it is worth mentioning the fact that we are still enjoying very good snow cover on the slopes; even in lower areas. And certainly for the end of March.

Remember, ski lifts at Happo, Goryu, 47 and Tsugaike should be operating until May 6th. So a fair while to go yet.

Nozawa Onsen Now!

Tuesday 27th March 2018, 14:41pm
Weather conditions: Fine, some thin cloud
New snowfall: 0cm
Snow depth: --
This report was submitted at the usual morning time. Apologies for the delay in the report appearing.

---

Good morning from Nozawa.

A little thin cloud around but it is once again going to be generally clear and sunny skies, and another warm day.

There are a few patches of ground showing up in some places lower down, but we are still generally enjoying excellent snow cover on the courses of the resort. It is of course melting pretty quickly though with the warm conditions. I am guessing we will fairly soon see much more ground appearing on the lower areas. The resort is still reporting a full 2.5m of snow on the upper slopes though so a lot of snow left.

More of the same forecast for tomorrow.
