And so as it starts to get dark, the lifts are closed and the season is over at Kagura and of course that means for the whole of the region. It was another fine day today, and rather hot lower down in the valley - up to 28 degrees in Yuzawa today.
So that was 12/13. Another good one I would say. Some dips in form as you expect but mostly quick recovery and Kagura was able to remain open until today without needing to use that shuttle bus. It's never fun that. I highly recomned a read through the archives to relive the season. And to perhaps cool down when it gets hotter still over the summer.
Of course, it is much cooler up at Kagura and Naeba - but none of the lifts operate, apart from 12th October until 10th November when the Tashiro Ropeway and the Dragondola connection from Naeba to Tashiro will open for the autumn colours season.
There's also of course the Fuji Rock Festival at the end of July which is always one for the calendar.
