We are into the last few days of the season at Kagura now - no extensions in sight and including today just four more days left.... the ski resort will official close for the season at the end of business on Sunday.
It looks like it's going to be dry right through with sunny or at times cloudy conditions. This morning the sun is out again and we have lovely clear blue skies over Kagura. It should be another fine day with temperatures rising to around 15 degrees.
There's still enough snow at Mitsumata to use as a thin connecting course and so it looks like they'll be able to get to the end of the season without the shuttle bus being brought into use... with the help of some skillful snow management. The resort still has 200cm of snow up top according to the official numbers. As you might expect, rather less than that in lots of places, but still really good cover up there. No worries in that respect.
Courses remaining open at Kagura are: Kagura main course, Technical course, Giant course, Gondola course.
