Minakami Now!

Wednesday 21st April 2010, 9:14am
Weather conditions: Overcast
New snowfall: --
Snow depth: --
Dark clouds hanging over us today and we're fully expecting the rain to come in. It's colder than yesterday but not too bad outside at the moment, although there is a bit of a breeze around.

Conditions aren't too bad up a Tenjin. It is still pretty soft and slushy but for spring skiing in late April it is good fun. Will have to wait and see what today's rain will do to it.

Yuzawa Now!

Wednesday 21st April 2010, 9:38am
Weather conditions: Cloud, rain
New snowfall: --
Snow depth: --
It is a wet morning in Yuzawa, with rain falling. Light rain was falling from yesterday afternoon and into the evening so we have perhaps had a fair bit overnight. Hopefully it should clear up around lunchtime leaving the rest of the day to be just cloudy. It is right now 8 degrees in Yuzawa with temperatures not likely to rise much and generally similar conditions likely tomorrow with rain in the afternoon. It looks like we might have to wait until around Sunday for the cloud and rain conditions to clear up proper.

All of Kagura remains open and the lifts at Gala Yuzawa that remain open are still operating.

Furano Now!

Wednesday 21st April 2010, 16:34pm
Weather conditions: Overcast with light rain
New snowfall: --
Snow depth: --
The wonderful image of spring skiing with fine warm weather and crystal blue skies does seem to be eluding us recently. Although it was warm today we had grey skies and light rain through most of the day. This is not the kind of weather that motivates the masses. Lets hope the weekend shapes up to be a good one.   Read more ...
