In Hakuba Valley early this morning the white frost (hoar frost) covering the roads and rice paddy fields was a clear sign of the temperatures dropping. At 7am it was 2 degrees Celsius. The day is clear now and a beautiful blue sky stretches across all the ski resorts from Sanosaka to Norikura and Cortina.
Some snow hit Mt. Shirouma (2932m) last week. Something about breathing in this fresh supercool air is rather invigorating. Although, the gloves, scarf and beany have been brought out of the closet. Read more ...
