Naeba Now!

Monday 18th April 2011, 7:45am
Weather conditions: Clear
New snowfall: --
Snow depth: --
It is +3 degrees and clear up at Kagura early on Monday morning after a fun and fairly busy weekend at the resort. A high temperature into double digits is expected today, followed by temperatures dropping later on bringing rain by the end of the day and snow up top. Tomorrow moderate-heavy snowfall during the day according to some local forecasts, though it may well be a case of snow higher up and rain lower down. But the thought of a nice new layer of snow on the slopes is an exciting one so looking forward to seeing how that all turns out. Conditions should clear up into Wednesday/Thursday before another colder period into next weekend.

Operations at Kagura (Monday 18th April):

- Mitsumata Ropeway
- Mitsumata No1 Quad
- Mitsumata No2 Pair
- Kagura Gondola
- Kagura No1 Quad
- Kagura No5 Pair

The downhill course from the bottom of the Mitsumata slopes to the Mitsumata car park is also open for the weekend.

Yesterday was another fine day, just some wispy clouds hanging around later in the day. But some fine spring riding for those making the effort.

Clear blue skies once again this morning in Hakuba, some cloud over to the east but clear above the Hakuba mountains. Nice warm weather as the sun heats the valley up. In the valley it will likely be raining though by the time things get dark, heavy at times, and into tomorrow. Hopefully even tonight though it will be snow in the mountains, not rain.
