Snow and weather reports posted on Monday 10th May 2021

It was generally cloudy on Monday with better weather yesterday.
This morning there was a fair bit of cloud early on, but there has been more blue skies during the day and after the cold night we had last night it has generally warmed up a bit with the sun out and high of around 8 degrees in the village. The snow is generally still confined to the upper parts of the mountains - this morning the upper areas of Toomi runs at Goryu were dusted with snow and Tsugaikge Kogen is reporting some snowfall on all parts of the ski resort up there - just a sprinkling really lower down - but they are looking magnificent in the fine weather of today.
We might see another dusting again in higher areas tonight and into tomorrow with fine clearer weather forecast for Friday and into the weekend - so no real significant snowfall expected through until next week as the forecast currently stands.
As mentioned in the last report, Happo, Hakuba Goryu and Tsugaike Kogen will be opening up as soon as they can when there is enough snow; and Hakuba 47 is looking at 1st December as their opening date.
