Not a great start to the weekend I'm afraid.
Yesterday ended up nice and sunny mid morning before clouding over again and by evening it was raining - heavily at times. A bit chilly too out there.
This morning as of 8am it is still raining. Looks like it has been raining through the night. Temperature currently 9 degrees in town.
In Kagura news, at the start of the day they are going to have the Kagura quad lift on hold due to strong winds.
The forecast is for conditions to improve this morning - might even end up sunny - and so expect Kagura to open up the quad if they can. They are reporting a cold +3C temperature early on, so get wrapped up if you are venturing out.
Let's hope conditions improve quickly.
Tomorrow should be calmer with no rain forecast currently - more like sun/cloud.
Here's the lifts that are operating at Kagura:
-Mitsumata Ropeway (open 8am on weekdays; 7:30am on Saturdays and holidays) -Mitsumata Number 1 quad lift -Mitsumata Number 3 romance lift -Mitsumata Number 2 romance lift (open when very busy; closed on weekdays)
-Kagura Gondola -Kagura Number 1 quad lift [*** on hold early on Saturday due to strong winds] -Kagura Number 1 romance lift (closed on weekdays)
-Gondola course -Kagura main course -Technical course -Giant course -Kagura park
The Mitsumata area is now what they call a 'connecting area' back down to the Mitsumata Ropeway - so basically you can just use it at the end of your day to get back down to the Ropeway and base.
Until 25th May: Kagura (the main Kagura area via Mitsumata Ropeway)
All other resorts in the region are closed for the season.
