Colder air moved across the region late yesterday accompanied by strong NW winds and heavy showers. This morning Mt Youtei is once again capped in white and the weather is clearing. High pressure is ridging out from Asia across Japan for most of the coming week and it's forecast we'll have settled weather and mild temps throughout the outlook.
The autumn colours in the village are reaching their peak at the moment and the first yukimushi (snow bugs) have been seen indicating the first snows to low levels can't be all that far off! Read more ...
