Friday 12th April 2013, 3:18am
More snowfall this morning to report up top with 5cm on the upper slopes of Nozawa and continuing to snow this afternoon. Nice!
Just cloudy down in the village with a high of around +6 degrees today.
Poor visibility up there though but for those wanting perhaps a last taste of fresh snow...
Tomorrow should be much clearer and perhaps a sunny day, warming up into double digit temperatures at base.

It's almost like winter has returned! More new snow to report overnight and light snow falling this morning... looks like we may have a snowy day in front of us. Alas, windy too and it's going to be affecting lift operations today it seems.
Personal comment - I'm not quite sure how the resort got from 415cm to 460cm over the last few days... really that much new snow? I haven't actually been out there myself in the last few days, but that is what the resort is reporting anyway...

Some more snow to report from Hakuba this morning. Just a frosting and thin layer in base areas, but more up on the mountains.
Hakuba Goryu reporting an impressive 15cm of snow on upper slopes this morning, with just 1cm at base. Hakuba 47 was reporting 3cm at base and 5cm higher up, with Happo one telling us that they got 3cm of fresh snow on the upper slopes.
We have had mixed conditions today up until this afternoon with some blue skies peeking from behind the clouds at times, and then snow also falling on the mountains this afternoon. It has kept fairly cold during the day.
Tomorrow should be clearer from the get go with clear and sunny skies forecast for Saturday and warmer conditions.
