Furano has had a wintery blast from last weekend and there was a surprise snow fall of 5cm on Sunday and 2cm yesterday in the village. This has topped up the slopes and provided some premium spring conditions. Today is another cool start but the daytime temperature will rocket up to +6c. While this is not quite t-shirt weather, the t-shirt weather is on it's way with 11c forecast for Sunday and then a few days of double digit positive temperatures next week.

Nozawa Onsen Now!
Wednesday 10th April 2019, 11:48am
Lots of grey cloud
Hello from Nozawa Onsen.
Nozawa is reporting 5-9cm of fresh snowfall on the upper slopes as of 12 noon today with just a dusting down below and a bit of a wet and gloomy feel to proceedings. (The weather, not if you are strapping on some skis or a board!).
Forecast seems to predict it will stop this afternoon or later on but we have a chance of some more snow tonight. Forecast also is not showing any/much more beyond tomorrow morning so perhaps this really is the last? We shall see.
