Apologies for the gap between the last report and this one - things will be more regular from now, I promise!

The season is getting nearer. We have had a number of snow dustings over the last few weeks as winter tries to take a hold on the region. At the moment the lower slopes are still looking pretty green with just the upper areas having a white snow covering.

I was talking with one of the guys in the Tourism office yesterday and confirmed that the ski resort will basically open when there's enough snow - so there's no real fixed opening date to report. Obviously the sooner the better.

A look at the forecast though tells me not to be expecting much in the way of snowfall in the next week. It should be staying cold but other than perhaps some more dustings up top, it's going to be a mix of cloudy and sunny conditions.

It's still very early and so absolutely no reason to be worried! I'll report again next week with an update.
