Fresh snow on April 1st it is! Just a few cm in the village and surely a bit more than that up on the mountain this morning. Cold too with the thermometer saying -4 degrees earlier on at my place. The top of the mountain was also reporting a cold -11 up there early morning.

Lots of fast-moving big fluffy clouds up there at the moment but a decent amount of blue sky as well - lots of shadows being cast down onto the slopes. Hardly any wind and good visibility.

So a good start to April!

Take a look at the forecast on the Zao resort page on this site - from Tuesday night onwards some very winter-like conditons seem to be on the way. More snow, strong winds and cold temps. The snow top-ups are not over yet by the looks of things.

From tomorrow, less of the lifts/resort will be open as we go into full on spring mode.
