Well, we had good weather forecast for the weekend and it was good on Saturday, but yesterday we got some heavy rain and strong winds along with much cooler conditions.

This morning it is raining still and we still have those heavy winds blowing around -- and because of that Kagura is closed today.

The other news is that there isn't enough snow left on the Mitsumata slopes, and so a shuttle bus is now taking skiers and snowboarders up from the top of the Mitsumata Ropeway to the base of the Kagura Gondola. The last Ropeway up is now 2:30pm. (Not today of course as it is closed because of the winds - tomorrow the resort should be open again).

Kagura (via Mitsumata) plans to be open until 30th May.

Only Kagura remains open (but closed Monday due to winds) and they plan to be open until 30th May. Mitsumata is open only as a 'connecting course' to get to (and back from) Kagura. All other resorts
