Just went outside for a few minutes and it felt really... warm. The temperature is already above 10 degrees before 8am this morning after a mild evening. It's going to be a pretty warm day.

Yesterday quickly ended up overcast once again with some rain added into the mix later on in the afternoon and evening. We're dry now though - a bit of blue sky but generally cloudy and overcast. Rain is forecast for later in the day. Tomorrow should be drier once the lifts open and not quite as warm.

Naeba closed once again for weekdays, leaving us with just Kagura and GALA Yuzawa planned to be open from today until Friday.

However, unfortunately it looks like gusty southerly winds are messing with that plan, preventing parts of Kagura to open - the Tashiro area is closed and part of the main Kagura area too - it's Mitsumata Ropeway to Kagura Number 1 lift open at the start of the day. GALA Yuzawa is also closed due to winds.

So the only starting point choice this morning is basically Mitsumata Ropeway. If you want to ski or board, head up there!

The Central Area and most of the North Area.
The South Area is now closed.
The downhill course is also now closed - get down back to base using the Gondola.

Kagura:
Official snow depth of 330cm.
All three main areas of Kagura remain pretty much fully open.
The 'Kagura Park' is open.
