After a fine day yesterday, last night some strong winds started up and this morning it's heavy rain and windy conditions in Yuzawa.

Good news though is that it is snowing up at the top of Kagura but windy conditions are preventing the resort to open early on. They do hope to open though if the winds calm down a bit.

Other news is that the other part of the Kagura resort - Tashiro - has announced that it is delaying opening due to the lack of snow up there.... they are now looking at opening on Saturday 19th December.

Forecasts you ask?! Well it's looking promising and it seems we can expect some fairly regular snowfall over the next 5-6 days high up with Monday and Wednesday looking the most promising at the moment. How far down the mountain that will come is anyones guess at the moment but we'll keep the updates coming.
