Good morning from Yuzawa.

With GALA Yuzawa announcing that they would be closed for the day very early on in the morning, it turns out that Maiko Snow Resort also didn't get to open (at all) yesterday and some lifts up at Kagura were also affected due to the strong winds higher up.

We had rain overnight and there are some light spots of rain falling at the time of writing with rain forecast at times today; particularly this morning. Lots of cloud around and limited visibility on the mountains.

Some forecasts still show the chance of some fresh snow overnight tonight. Wouldn't that be a nice bonus.

Sunshine is expected during the day tomorrow and that will be a good way for the season to end at the Iwappara, Ishiuchi Maruyama, Joetsu Kokusai and Maiko Snow Resort resorts.

High temperatures of around 10 degrees are expected at town level during the day today and tomorrow.

All of the ski resorts that plan to be open this weekend should be opening.

And... blossoms and all sorts of buds are now quickly appearing!

---

From Monday, only Kagura, GALA Yuzawa and Kandatsu Kogen will remain open daily - with Naeba planning to open up on weekends. More info below.
