We're back to something like normal today after those two days of windy disruption to lifts.

And, we have new snow. On the mountains anyway. Kagura are reporting 5cm while Gala Yuzawa seem to be reporting 20cm of fresh snow this morning. Impressive. Should be a good morning up there.

Down in town there has been just a sprinkling really and while it is snowing now it is very light and wet - borderline rain - and not the kind that will rack up some new cm. With temperatures rising to around +5 today, it may well be raining properly this afternoon, but hopefully we can avoid that and we might see snow still falling in higher areas.

Tomorrow should be colder though and snow is lined up on the forecast, perhaps continuing into Saturday.

One thing worth mentioning again is that the South Area of the Gala Yuzawa resort is now closed for the season.

Remember this weekend is the last for Iwappara, NASPA Ski Garden and Yuzawa Kogen. Centleisure Maiko will be open just for this weekend. Afte that we are left with just Naeba (two weekends-only), Kandatsu, GALA Yuzawa and Kagura open. For details see below.
