Bluebird start to the day in Nozawa Onsen pretty cold early with icy paths.

After the decent dump of snow we had the night before last and a beautiful day we were hoping for a fun start to the season.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not working with us today and looks like the Nagasaka Gondola may not open due to high winds.

Shame as everyone was pretty excited about getting up the hill for the first tracks of the season.

The resort seems confident that tomorrow will be a go ahead though with lighter winds and clear skies forecast. Fairly cold temperatures are forecast for the top the snow that is there should be nice still.

Courses that should be open tomorrow:

The 4 Yamabiko courses (1300m, 820m, 1250m, 1000m) and also the 2km Uenodaira course.
