Only a dusting of snow since last report but a reasonable amount of blowing snow flying around due to the wind. This morning dawned partly cloudy with glimpses of the sun at times but strong winds have limited lift operation around the resort with only the lifts at the base of the mountain currently operating. With little snow over the last couple of days and strong winds all the snow on the mountain is now very compacted. If they do open any lifts later today the best riding will be on the groomers.
Overall not the best day for skiing but with the sun out at times not a bad for a bit of sightseeing around the region, maybe a snowmobile or snowshoe tour to get some nice pics.

Still not much snow expected until around Tuesday next week. Temps will remain cool but if you were hoping to enjoy some of Niseko's famed deep powder this hasn't been the best week for it. Those coming next week should have a bit more luck.

Current Official Snow Depths:

Grand Hirafu:
Top - 180cm
Bottom - 90cm

Niseko Village:
Top - 220cm
Bottom - 140cm

Annupuri:
Top - 210cm
Bottom - 140cm

Avalanche Information:

Niseko Avalanche Info No.23

Moiwa base 6am: -2.5℃, strong NE wind is persisting with slight snowfall.
20cm of drifted snow accumulation due to flying snow.
Coastal wind: 12m/s ENE at Benkei cape, 4m/s E, 1008hPa with 4m waves at Kamui cape.
24m/s NE at Annupuri peak (1308m) at 7am.
14m/s N in upper Mizuno no sawa and the surface is turning into hard slabs.
The snow in Niseko range has drifted due to strong easterly winds, making the eastern slopes surface crusty or hard packed.
Flying snow has deposited some unstable slabs in leeward slopes just below ridgeline.
Possibilities of cornice fall or 40cm thick avalanche is persisting in leeward slopes.
The wind is forecasted to calm down late afternoon, gate 4 (Fujiwara) will open if the peak lift operates, however peak gates will be kept closed all day.
Respect the ski patrol’s decision.
There is no fresh snow anywhere.
The mountain has been exposed to strong wind that scraped off the surface. Hard packed surfaces are not suitable for skiing. However, slopes with snowdrifts are highly wind effected and are very easily collapsible.
Avalanche could be triggered due to riding stimulations. Avalanche hazard will persist a while after the wind has calmed down. Most avalanche accidents occur during or just after storms.
Stay away from strictly off limits areas.
