Today feels more like late March than late Feb and tomorrow will probably feel more like mid April. Definitely being hit by unseasonal warmth currently. Springlike conditions on the mountain but the off-piste is more crusty than nice consolidated corn. Groomers offer the best skiing today but it will be a little slushy down low. Overall not what we normally would expect at this time of year.
It is currently overcast but there's no precipitation. Tonight it is only expected to just get down to freezing which for us, after what has been a pretty cold winter, is very near to T-shirt weather!
Anyway some rain will hit later tomorrow after the temp peaks at around an expected 7 degrees. The warmer temps will remain until Sunday when they should drop back closer to normal again.

Avalanche Information:

Niseko Avalanche Info No.71

Moiwa base 6am: -3℃, no snowfall.
Coastal data: SE2m/s at Benkei cape, WSW3m/s, 1.1m waves and 1020hPa at Kamui cape.
Annupuri peak: W5.4m/s, -6℃.
There is no notable development of snowdrift and yesterday’s tracks are remaining.
Although shallow (5cm) slides of wind-drifted snow are to be expected in some spots, deeper layers mostly consist of rounded grains; the snow is stable and the avalanche hazard is low.
Peak gates are scheduled to open at 9:30.
The snow is shallow and difficult to control, beware of hitting trees.
Many cracks are starting to form in leeward slopes above 800m. These cracks are the result of the slope’s tension release and usually don’t slide right away. However, possibilities of a major scale avalanche are to be considered in slopes with cracks but without crimps below the open section.
Cracks are often difficult to see from above, be careful not to fall into.
Caution is required when traversing the west face towards Goshiki. Keep space between skiers.
Also, it is wiser to avoid the gully bottoms in Osawa or Backbowl.
The season is slowly shifting to spring.
Do not seek fresh lines in strictly off limits areas.
