Yesterday remained fine and only partly cloudy throughout the day. There has been no new snow since last report and this morning it is cloudy and fairly mild. Conditions on the mountain are not the best. The sun yesterday has caused a crust to form on most aspects and even where there is no crust it's all pretty much tracked out. Due to an approaching storm the very top gates will not open today either and currently winds are strong enough that all top lifts are on wind hold anyway. The gondola in Hirafu is also currently closed so expect significant queues on the Ace quad.
We can expect snow later today but I doubt there'll be enough to see great conditions return tomorrow. Hopefully there's more than I'm expecting.
Pretty much definite now that we can expect rain from Thursday for a day or so. Although it's been a cold Feb up until now with overall very good snow quality the last few days of the month are not going to be the best. Much cooler and snowier weather should return though for the first week of March.

Avalanche Information:

Niseko Avalanche Info No.69

Moiwa base 6am: -5℃, no new snowfall.
Coastal data: SSE7m/s at Benkei cape, SSW8m/s, 0.7m waves and 1019hPa at Kamui cape.
Annupuri peak: S18.8m/s at 6am.
A southerly wind has picked up from 3am and is predicted to blow up to SE25m/s at noon.
Relatively mild wind last night and no snowdrift development can be observed.
The avalanche risk in the morning is low, however a storm is forecasted to pick up soon.
Gate 2 (Annupuri peak), 3 (Hirafu peak) and 4 (Fujiwara) will be closed.
Other gates are scheduled to open. Please follow the ski patrol’s instructions.
The snow surface has become wet, heavy and tracked out yesterday and is now frozen. The mountain’s condition is bad.
Many cracks are forming in leeward slopes with a lot of snowdrifts.
The access gates have been set as an entry point to the surrounding quasi-national parks and Niseko has been tolerating out of bounds skiing.
The surrounding mountainous areas aren’t managed by the ski resorts, however the resorts officials are strongly concerned about the safety of the people stepping out through the gates.
The Niseko Rules has been established in order to respect as much freedom as possible while keeping the minimum of safety.
We strongly demand everyone to respect the Rules.
Refrain from ducking ropes to seek fresh lines.
