Yesterday there was some patches of sun with some light snowfall. This morning the wind will swing from NE to NW bringing with it some light snow throughout the day and expected to get heavier tonight. It is currently overcast with clouds hanging around the peaks. It is expected to flurry on and off throughout the day with clouds and snowfall expecting to increase later this afternoon and into the night.
Groomers will be fast and firm throughout the day. Off piste there is still some fresh snow to be found though it is a little crunchy underneath.
All terrain parks are expected to open today. Conditions can change quickly so always remember to follow good etiquette. Look before you leap, wait your turn and most importantly have fun.

Avalanche Information:

All gates are scheduled to open from the morning, peak gates 2 & 3 at 9:30. Please follow the ski patrol’s instructions. The strong southwesterly wind gradually calmed down and no overnight snowfall has been observed. Variable conditions, from wind-scuffed rugged to hard crusty surface as well as wind-blown drifted snow patches are present in high elevation slopes. Patches of snowdrifts (different surface texture compared to the rest of the slopes) are still not bonded to the underlying snow and could slide with riding stimulations. Carefully pay attention to the changing snow conditions. The snow surface in lower elevation has been highly influenced by the changing temperature and froze, resulting in icy surface in some slopes. Stay in controllable speed and beware of hitting trees or other obstacles. The temperature is forecasted to rise today and the surface condition is likely to completely change especially in south facing lower elevation slopes. Beware of avalanches as the surface snow becomes wet, loose and heavy.
