Occasional snow continued through much of yesterday but it was reasonably wet at lower levels on the mountain. Overnight the temperature actually increased getting just above freezing. Slightly cooler air has moved in this morning and it is back below freezing at village level. We also had a breif period of strong winds and snow early on. All up there's been 5-10cm of snow but it's certainly not blower powder.
Currently it is mostly cloudy but a little diffused sunlight is poking through now and then. There's the occasional snow flurry but it doesn't look like we'll be getting all that much today. Winds are still strong enough up high that the top lifts are on wind hold. Temperature though are expected to drop down close to -10 tonight and will remain cool for the rest of the outlook with a bit of snow daily but nothing major.
The best snow will be found up high today and the peak gates are expected to open if they can get the top lifts running.

According to all data and patrol’s report, the general avalanche risk is moderate, but will rise if the wind and snow picks up. Beware of the weather transition.
Peak gates are scheduled to open at 10:00 but may close anytime depending on the future conditions.
Please respect the ski patrol’s decision.
Chances of heavy wet snow slides are highly probable in cliff terrain below 800m.
The snow in the trees this morning is pretty good.
