Well there was a bit of a blanket last night. Looks like about 1cm fell here at the base of Niseko, but not much more than that. Conditions were great yesterday on the peak and back side of Niseko. Chiisenupuri and goshiki onsen area had some of the best snow in the area. It looks like it is going to be a sunny warm day, so get out and do some fun resort laps. Today would be a good day to learn the mountain so when the snow comes this Wednesday night, you will know where to go.

Avalanche danger is pretty minimal today. There's not too much wind loading activity from the past two days and slab avalanches are not a grave concern at the moment. So get out to the peak and get some pictures of Yotei and the surrounding Niseko area.

Official Niseko Avalanche Report:

Niseko base 6am: -4C;, 5cm of crystal snow in the past 12 hours.
Coastal data: E3m/s at Benkei cape, 1.7m waves and 1009hPa at Kamui cape.
Annupuri peak (1308m) wind: NE4.9m/s.
A low-pressure system is passing over Japan but the wind has remained relatively calm and no snowdrifts development can be observed.
Significant layers formed due to large change in the temperature are present just below the snow surface (1/1 & 12/30 layers), however the deeper snowpack is rounding and stable.
The general avalanche hazard is low.
Old tracks still remain all around the mountain, ride carefully, remain in control and beware of hitting trees.
Do not seek fresh tracks in strictly off-limits areas or duck any ropes to step out of bounds.
All gates are scheduled to open at 9:30.
Caution; the weather conditions may suddenly change in the afternoon.
The courses/groomers conditions are fantastic.

Evening update:

Well we are seeing some heavy and unpredictable winds at the moment here in Niseko. Take caution over the next few days with the amount of wind loading that will be happening. It's snowing pretty hard and very windy. There could be some wind slab developments and cornices as well. Stay warm and stay safe.
