This morning the sun is out and it is a beautiful clear start to the day. Cold too and hardly any wind at all.

Lifts that are moving until Friday:

Mitsumata Ropeway
Mitsumata No1 quad
Mitsumata No3 pair
Kagura Gondola
Kagura No1 quad
Kagura No4 pair

Courses open until Friday are:

Mitsumata Family course and Taikai, Gondola line.
Kagura main course, Technical course, Giant course, Panorama course and Gondola course

OK so tomorrow sees the Tashiro Ropeway start up as well as Naeba ski resort open. Tashiro opening up will actually mean that apparently most of the whole Kagura area will be open from tomorrow. Details unclear at the moment, but that can't be a bad thing. There's officially 130cm at Kagura but in places it's still fairly thin on the ground, so they are doing well to get so much opened up. Hurray!

Naeba plans to have the Prince Number 2 Gondola operating as well as the No4 and No5 lifts near base and the Takenokodaira pair lift up top. As the lower courses are being helped generously by snow making machines (there's not a whole lot of snow down below), the top and bottom areas won't be connected. So it's Gondola up and down. The base lifts will open at 8:30am with the Gondola stating up at 9:30am.

You want to know about that crazy snowfall due this weekend, don't you? So do I! It still looks like it is on. Perhaps a slight downgrade, or perhaps I'm just imagining it. Still looks like it should be a very snowy, very cold and very windy weekend.

Official resort snow depth:
Kagura - 130cm

Planned opening dates:
Kagura (Tashiro) on December 8th
Naeba on December 8th
