A nice start to the weekend, and the general Golden Week period.

The snow really hung on, a lot more than we expected a few weeks back, and here at the base the cherries are starting to bloom as well. What could be better for spring skiing? White snow (OK, a few bare patches here and there), cold beverages, maybe a BBQ, cherry blossoms...

The only downside is that rain looks to be on the way from midday Sunday. So get out and give the boards one last run.

Golden Week vacation days are:
Tuesday 29th April
Monday 5th May
Tuesday 6th May

...and of course the weekends, so we have Tuesday as a holiday and then a four-day weekend.

Akakura Kanko:
Myoko Kogen Sky Cable gondola and hotel No. 3 lift will stay open until May 6, or whenever the snow runs out.

Seki Onsen:
Planning to stay open until May 6th.
