Man we’re getting snow! After railing at the ski resorts for not getting reports out early enough, here I am coming to you late on the second day of an expanded available resort menu.

Well, there was snow to plow; there was a new snow plot to fire up for the first time (you’re going to get scientific snow depths!). 65cm so far, people! And I did ski yesterday and it was great; can only be greater today.

It really is January-style snow, coming down at about 3 centimeters an hour. Heavy winds overnight. Crazy for this time of year. We’ve basically doubled the base overnight.

One surprise: Suginohara had listed the 23rd for its opening date, but it’s open now!
