Nice and cold this morning, even as the wind swings around to the south.

The sun is just barely shining through high, thin clouds (it was a bit sunnier earlier in the morning), with some fog now just starting to form along the middle section of the mountains. We can still see blue skies to the south over Nagano City, but things are going to change very soon.

The freezing level is jumping a bit before heading way up above Mt. Myoko (forecasted up to 2,800 meters, vs. 2,454m for Mt. Myoko). Heavy rain, heavy snow, lots of wind. It's all on the forecast, so it will be an interesting few days coming up.

Tomorrow is very likely another good onsen day (and be sure to try the saké from the three breweries within Myoko City, all excellent and guaranteed to take the bad-weather blues away).
