Grey skies in Minakami this morning and variable weather depending on how high up you go. Sleet at the moment in the valley with the top of the resorts reporting snow. It is pretty cold and the wind is blowing, especially up high. It could cause some disruptions to lift operations today, with a couple of chairs on wind-hold up at Tenjin early this morning.

The snow is supposed to continue through today and then we are promised a couple of fine days from tomorrow. More precipitation due over the weekend so with a bit of luck that will mean snow in all resorts for Saturday and Sunday - touch wood.
