It's another sunny day this Hakuba Morning!

Just like a yesterday morning, its a nice beautiful morning today too. It seems like the Japanese New Year rush has been slowing down a little bit as well with many people returning to work in Japan now so the slopes have been slightly quieter today. The forecast said it will be crowds and snow showers overnight but I guess it didn't happen at all.

There has been no new fresh snow here in the base. Freezing level is around 300 to 400 meters. Still there is some chopped out powder out there to find and you can find some good stashes of powder in the trees. More snow is of course always welcome especially on the lower slopes that still aren't that deep and could do with more snowfall.

The forecast tells us that it will be overcast with possible snow showers again and then we can look to Wednesday night for some potentially decent snowfall in the valley.
