Blue skies and sunshine today in Hakuba!

It was a cold clear night last night so anything that was slushy or wet froze up pretty hard, so might be fast and icy out there on certain aspects. Other shaded areas and north facing slopes should remain drier and still should have nice snow to enjoy. By 11AM or so the snow should have softened up by warming temperatures and sunshine.

Conditions on the slopes today will be powder (gotta search for it), chopped powder and crud, hard pack and softer spring snow at lower elevations. It looks like a nice to get some good spring turns in, get some nice panorama pictures and catch some rays.

Lift operation on some resorts may be limited due to lack of customers and lateness of the season.

Still great skiing top to bottom so get out there and enjoy it if you can!
