Good morning from Hakuba.

A fair bit of cloud around the mountains yesterday along with a nice helping of blue sky (more and more as the day went on) making for a feel good day out on the mountains. Well it was for me anyway!

There is no fresh snow to report on this mostly cloudy morning. It's a cold start to the day.

I am happy to report that the Omusubi off-piste area of Happo-one opened yesterday. The official site seems to have it as closed this morning, but they are apparently opening up again today. Hurray!

Is that (potentially) heavy snowfall I see on the forecast for tonight? I do believe it is! :)
