Good morning from Hakuba.

It's one of those beautiful blue sky mornings with hardly a cloud in the sky, just a few small fluffy things going on here and there.

Beautiful.

No new snow to report this morning and it's about 1C now here at base areas. Hakuba 47 reporting -6C up top just after 7:30am so still pretty cold up there. It's forecast to warm up to around 6C here at base during the day today, and perhaps a bit higher tomorrow with more clear skies and sunshine likely.

There is a lot of sun on the 6-day forecast at the moment, with the chance of a bit of rain/snow higher up here and there but nothing major.

Still, with the fine weather I would expect some fun conditions this morning. Hope to see you out there.

Cherry blossoms starting to bloom are starting to make the national news now (not here in Hakuba), and when that happens lots of folk stop thinking about skiing and boarding and start cleaning their blue sheet mats and preparing for picnics. (The less dedicated, of course!)
