The autumn weather continues to produce some lovely blue sky days. Although, the chill is more and more noticeable in the mornings and early evenings.

Today on the mountain the wind speed has picked up and it's about 13 degrees at present. The autumn leaves are dropping and the roads and pavements around Hakuba are transforming into a red, orange and yellow hue.

Puffy clouds dominate above the Alps all day, these clouds are for sure snow clouds right? Well, it did snow overnight in Hakuba the day before yesterday and last night too. Hakuba's neighboring prefectures got some good 20cm for peaks above 2000m. The surrounding base villages of Hakuba are yet to see any snow on the ground, however looking up from Hakuba Station the picturesque North Alps and their peaks are now covered with a white blanket of snow... it looks amazing.
