Yesterday was a warm one. The best bit of data I can find to demonstrate that is Hakuba 47 reporting a temperature of +5 degrees up by Line C at 1450m yesterday afternoon at 3pm.

Toasty!

This morning it's already in positive numbers and going to be another warm day with temperatures still expected to rise to close on 10 degrees down at village level. A light southerly breeze for now.

Rain still on the forecast for later but no agreement among the forecasts about how much to expect, some seem to have eased off on the forecast there.

OK so some more exciting news and it is looking that once we pass this mild spell there will be a return to cold with some potentially decent snowfall later in the week.

Expect better snow conditions in higher areas, with some spring like wet and heavy lower down. The challenge is to find the best conditions.

With the current warmer temperatures, avalanche risk is increasing. Don't risk your life by venturing into places that you and yours don't know outside of the resort areas. Do take care out there!
