Avalanche Advisory:
There is currently a lot of natural avalanche activity. Extreme caution is required on all aspects in terrain over 25 degrees. Rain from four days ago has solidified into a solid rain crust on all aspects below 2,000m. On top of this ice crust we have received 30cm of new snow that is avalanching easily and travelling long distances. Even in what would be thought of as safe terrain such as tight trees, we are seeing natural skier/boarder triggered avalanche activity. As skies clear today and wind increases we will see dense slabs forming on south, southwest and southeast aspects. It is extremely advised to stay away from obvious avalanche terrain i.e convexing, open slopes and gullies. Be aware of terrain traps below you and always plan an escape route before heading in one at a time.

Avalanche Danger:

Below Treeline: CONSIDERABLE. Natural avalanches possible. Human-triggered avalanches possible.

Treeline: HIGH. Natural and human-triggered avalanches likely.

Alpine: HIGH. Natural and human-triggered avalanches likely.
