Good morning from Hakuba. And we have new snow on this first day of April. Resorts around Hakuba and Otari reporting a few cm of snow up to 15cm (at Cortina) and there has been a thin cover down to village level as well overnight. So it should be a good end to the season for the resorts that are closing for the season at the end of today.

Earlier on this morning things seemed to have cleared up. While the mountains were shrouded in cloud, the sun was even making a bried appearance over the village earlier. Since around 10am though, snow has started to fall again - down to village level as well. Visibility on the upper slopes right now has become quite poor with decent snow falling, but I doubt there will be many people complaining about that!

It got down to around -6 degrees in the village overnight and right now it's around 0 degrees.

Tomorrow should be clearer and milder as well and we'll probably get to see the sun. Looking a bit further forward it's looking good for more snow to be falling this coming week - keep an eye on the forecast for Tuesday/Wednesday and then into Friday. Sounds good to me.
