All change with the weather today as the blue skies have gone and things are altogether more grey and cloudy. Actually things did start off fairly bright but hazy, but clouds have moved in over the last hour or so. Unfortunately, it has also started raining here in the village. It's fairly warm too, so perhaps too much to expect snow even higher up, but it might just happen - but I wouldn't expect too much from it though. The best we can hope for really is for things to clear up later this afternoon leaving us with more sunny conditions tomorrow.

Monday night into Tuesday? It's still looking really interesting. Heavy snow up top, heavy rain in the village? Maybe. Let's see how that develops as we get closer to it.

Official snow depths and operations @ Saturday 16th April AM:

Hakuba Goryu:
The upper slopes at Goryu plan to be open until 8th May.
The Gondola and Alps No3 pair lifts are operating.
The Alps No1 pair will be open on Saturdays/Sundays and from 29th April until 8th May.
The Toomi Sky Four lift is operating this weekend.
Top to bottom skiing ok.

Course areas open are: Riesen Grad, Kurobishi, Usagidaira and Panorama.
The Grad quad will also be open on weekends and during Golden week, at those times opening up that top course as well.
