Nice day yesterday weather wise; a really great day in terms of snow conditions. Just rather windy causing some top lift disruption.

Snow started again coming down with real conviction in the evening yesterday and we have a lot more snow this morning to give us what should be an excellent reset for today.

Goryu and 47 this morning are reporting a cool-sounding half a metre of fresh on their upper slopes.

The bottom line... tons of fresh snow. How does that sound?

Limited visibility this moning as the snow continues to fall but it's curiously not that cold this morning - about -1C now here in the village. Thankfully it seems to be less windy as well so hopefully that won't cause an issue today.

That's about it. We're all very excited about the fresh snow, but most importantly remember to keep safe and careful out there.

The Happo-one Fire Festival went ahead last night in the heavy snow. Always a good mix for a festival, snow and fire. Lots of people turned up for some festival fun...I heard a number of 2000.
