A light dusting of snow overnight and more falling this morning has resulted in some excellent schralping conidtions this morning. Beware of the ice crust below this new snow keeping on-piste riding fast. A low hovering over Northern Japan is keeping temperatures cold, however two approaching highs from the West should see some warmer weather in the next couple of days.

Avalanche Advisory:
50cm of new snow above the rain crust of March 11th has seen rapid bonding in the new snow. Slopes have been stabilising but there is still two sheer layers in the new snow, one at 35cm where there is a change of temperature in teh snow and one just above the ice crust. Caution is still advised on steep, unsupported slopes and extreme caution around cornices with yesterdays high winds from the West ther is wind slabs higher in the alpine and deeper wind deposits on East and South East slopes. The rain layer and lower elevation is still not frozen solid and there is still possibilities of slides from this wet layer.

Avalanche Hazard:
Alpine: Considerable. Natural avalanches possible. Human-triggered avalanches probable.
Tree Line: Moderate. Natural avalanches unlikely. Human-triggered avalanches possible
Below Tree Line: Moderate. Natural avalanches unlikely. Human-triggered avalanches possible
