Yesterday may have started off fairly bright but it clouded over and the afternoon ended up being quite grey.

Unfortunately, Saturday morning brings with it rainy and wet conditions in the village and up on the mountains as well with all the resorts reporting rain at base but some hope for snow up top. Having said that, a quick look at the webcam from higher up on Happo seems to be showing that some snow is falling up there at the moment (they were reporting rain as of 8am) - which is encouraging, though I doubt it will amount to much.

There's hardly any wind though this morning and it's about 6C at the moment in the village.

For those visiting today and tomorrow, there's a few more lifts open at Happo for the weekend. And while today the conditions may not be that pleasant, tomorrow looks like the sun should be out and it will be sunny and warm. So I would say the pick of the weekend.

The last few days or so it's really noticable how much snow down at village level has melted away with some fields now visible for the first time since the beginning of the season. I suppose farmers are the ones who want that to happen as soon as possible so that they can get to work on what they do! Just as long as the snow stays up on the mountain for us sliders.
